Q: Why do you have a $75.00 minimum charge for tattoos?

A: At Yonge Street Tattoos we uphold the highest standards. We are the leaders in our industry and we would like to remain the #1 tattoo shop in Toronto.

Often people ask us why we have a $75.00 minimum charge for tattoos. We have put together this list so you have a better understanding of the service you are receiving at our studio.

1.All of our needles are single use and disposable.

2.All of our pigment is poured in single use ink caps.

3.All needles and tubes are sealed into separate bags and sterilized in a hospital type steam and pressure autoclave.

4.All needles and tubes remain in their sterile packaging until they are opened in front of you, the customer.

5.All biohazard waste such as needles are disposed of by a company called Med Tech Environmental Ltd.

6.To avoid any chance of cross contamination, all of our stainless steel work stations are cleansed with an anti-microbial surface cleaner after each client as well as several times throughout the day.

7.All tattoo machines, clip cords and bottles that may be touched during the tattoo process are covered with a disposable poly bags which are discarded after each client.

8.Each of our artist wear Nitrile gloves (a non-latex substance). Latex gloves are no longer considered safe within the medical community.

9.To ensure our autoclave is always running at or above hospital standards, we conduct bi-weekly spore tests. The tests are checked and verified by a company called HANSAmed ltd. The results are always available for you viewing.

10.We explain every step of you procedure so that you feel comfortable in asking any questions. We also are available to you anytime you have any concerns, questions or comments once the work is finished.
